Where it runs
Most of Perch never leaves your Mac. AI can run in three places, and you choose which.
Your Mac
- Keyword search, recent Seen before results, the Tab Overview
- Memory: retain 30 days by default; search the last 14 days free
- AI search with Perch on-device
- Apple Intelligence, on Macs that have it
Your provider
- AI search and topic sorting with your own key
- Sends tab titles and addresses to that provider only
Perch Plus
- Ask Perch, on Perch’s server and its AI provider
- The pages it reads for your question, only after you turn it on

What will stay free?
Open-tab search, local tab management and the last 14 days of Memory. Perch Plus will search older pages still kept on your Mac. Recording, privacy controls and human export stay free. This is the planned launch boundary; paid Memory is not available yet.
Do I need an account?
Not for the free features. Perch Plus will use email sign-in; no account is needed for recent search.
Can I use AI without paying anyone?
Yes. Perch on-device runs on your Mac for free, and so does Apple Intelligence where your Mac has it.
What would Perch Plus send?
Searching older Memory runs on your Mac; Perch’s server only checks your subscription. Ask Perch sends the pages it reads for your question to Perch’s server and its AI provider, and only after you turn it on.
Who will sell it?
Perch is made by Joyvill. Perch Plus will be sold through Link, Stripe’s checkout, so that’s the name on your receipt.
What will it cost?
$8 a month or $72 a year, in US dollars, for one bundle: your full Memory history and Ask Perch. Nothing is for sale yet.
